Pulse’s AHP Team is currently recruiting experienced Nursing Service Delivery Leads to join the team for a role based in the Cornwall area. These roles will be working locally in the Cornwall area providing Nursing delivery services for a Phlebotomy & Healthcare Research Project.

To be successful in this role you MUST have experience of a similar role and be proficient as a phlebotomist. This is an established programme that is looking for new candidates as it moves into its next phase.

Position: Nursing Service Delivery Lead

Location: Cornwall

Hours: 2-3 days per week, shift patterns vary

Duration: Ongoing

Essential skills:

  • An experienced nurse who has led nurses in a similar environment
  • Proof of phlebotomy as you will be overseeing these services

We are looking for experienced nurses to be able to work at least 2-3 days per week in a 7-day service. These will be long days working between 7.45 am – 6.15 pm, Saturdays 8.45 am – 5.15 pm with Sunday hours being 10.45 am – 4.15 pm. This position is available from October.

Some of the areas we expect this to be in the next few months include St Austell/Truro/Falmouth/Redruth/Penzance/Liskeard. These will be mobile sites which will move around on a regular basis every 4-5 weeks and so it would be very beneficial if you are able to drive and to work at different sites.

The pay rate for this role will be up to £33 per hour (umbrella rate). There are enhanced rates for weekend work.

Main responsibilities of this nursing vacancy:

  • Responsible for the provision of clinical leadership to Healthcare Support Workers
  • Focus on the day-to-day delivery of excellence in quality care provision, ensuring all clinical governance and compliance targets are met, services are safe and delivered seamlessly
  • Supernumerary role which can provide additional support for HSW breaks
  • Responsible for staff attendance and scheduling
  • Reports directly to Chief Nurse
  • First point of escalation for operational queries
