Biomedical Scientist in Biochemistry

Banding: Band 6

Location: Milton Keynes University Hospital - Standing Wy, Eaglestone, Milton Keynes MK6 5LD

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week (shifts TBC)

Hourly Rate: £22 - £24 PAYE via DE

We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Biochemistry to join our client’s team in Milton Keynes. This is a full-time, ongoing position working 37.5 hours per week, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experienced BMS
  • Needs knowledge of chemistry and working in lab
  • Ideal if you have an understanding of Beckman solutions
  • Good understanding of quality aspects

Qualifications and Experience

  • HCPC registration
  • Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
  • Experience in Biochemistry within a clinical laboratory
  • Experience with automated chemistry analysers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • NHS experience (required)
