We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist specializing in Old Age Psychiatry for a temporary assignment in London.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist working within the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in a Memory Clinic, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality psychiatric care to older adults. The successful candidate must possess Section 12 approval and have a strong background in Old Age Psychiatry.
Key Responsibilities:- Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with complex mental health conditions in the Old Age Psychiatry field.
- Providing comprehensive psychiatric care within the Community Mental Health Team, specifically in a Memory Clinic setting.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of older adults.
- Conducting risk assessments and managing the mental health of patients with a focus on dementia and related disorders.
- Utilizing strong communication skills to liaise with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Full GMC registration and license to practice in the UK.
- CCT in Old Age Psychiatry or equivalent.
- Section 12 approval.
- Proven experience working in a Memory Clinic or similar setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
