We are now recruiting for a Band 7 ADHD specialist to join a well-established NHS trust based in Guernsey, Channel Isles on a locum contract. This full-time post is an exciting opportunity available to start immediately for 3 months. To provide autonomous assessments of complex mental health needs of children and young people as appropriate, in a variety of settings in accordance with the agreed pathway for access to the service. The Specialist will provide care and therapeutic interventions as appropriate and with supervision where required in a variety of settings, in accordance with the agreed Service Specification Document. The Specialist will need to provide crisis intervention and CAMHS services in the community in addition to clinic-based work. The specialist will guide, advise and direct other staff in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient/client care. The specialist is expected to undertake escort duties or visits to off-island hospital placements as required. To undertake risk assessments and risk management care planning around young people in crisis.
