Locum Dissection Biomedical Scientist in Histology

Banding: Band 6

Location: Derbyshire

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing

Working Pattern: Core hours only

Hourly Rate: £30- £35

We are currently seeking a Biomedical Scientist specialising in Dissection to join our client’s team in Derbyshire. This is a full-time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.

Key Responsibilities

Will be responsible for undertaking various Dissection responsibilities within the Histology lab. You will be required to work across Cat B,C,D & E.

Qualifications and Experience

  • HCPC registration
  • A Histology BMS with dissection experience no formal post grad qualifications, Histology BMS with the DEP in dissection undertaking Cat B & C, or aHistology BMS with the ASD in dissection undertaking Cat D & E
  • Experience in Histology within a clinical laboratory
  • Experience with microtomy and staining techniques
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • NHS experience (required)
