About the Role:
Pulse have recently partnered with a leading healthcare provider. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Paediatric Audiologist to join our team in Boston. In this role, you will provide a comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitation service to all Audiology patients, with a particular focus on paediatric care. You will work as part of a small, developing team to deliver high-quality clinical services, including both behavioural and objective hearing assessments for children of all ages, and fitting hearing aids where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing diagnostic and rehabilitation services to children and adults with learning disabilities, additional disabilities, or special needs.
- Maintaining continuous professional development, clinical supervision, and training of junior staff members.
- Managing your own caseload and creating individual rehabilitation plans for each patient.
- Establishing a good rapport with patients of all ages to gain their cooperation in clinics and encourage self-management at home.
- Taking accurate ear impressions in both children and adults and verifying hearing aid prescriptions for paediatric patients and adults using probe tube microphone measurements.
- Working in one or more specialist areas, with a particular interest in paediatric audiology, and being flexible to support other areas such as audio vestibular testing, tinnitus, adults with learning difficulties, dementia care, hearing therapy, and adult rehabilitation.
Requirements:
- BSc Healthcare Science (Audiology) or equivalent.
- Professional registration with HCPC or RCCP/AHCS.
- Specific experience in paediatric audiology is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in diagnostic audiology and rehabilitative services for children.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children and their families.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
