Are you an experienced ITU/HDU nurse looking for new challenges and rewarding opportunities? We have HDU/ITU shifts in the Royal Devon area, with rates of pay from £26.00-£39.77 per hour.

As an ITU/HDU nurse, you play a critical role in providing specialized care to patients in the Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU) or High Dependency Unit (HDU). Your expertise in critical care, monitoring, and patient advocacy is invaluable in ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

ITU Nurses responsibilities:
  • Assessment, observation, monitoring and charting of vital signs; care planning, treatment implementation, and patient evaluation
  • Making sure all the medical equipment is working correctly – including ventilators, drains and catheters, as well as IV lines and pumps
  • Communicating effectively and supporting patients, relatives, staff and others
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records
  • Acting as a role model to others in the hospital
  • May even be assigned to care for one or two seriously ill patients (such as a patient with complex needs including multi-organ failure and advanced respiratory difficulties who needs the highest level of Level 3 care)

Requirements for Critical Care Nurses (ICU) HDU working for Pulse:

  • NMC Registration
  • 6 months experience in ITU/HDU in the last 12 months - able to provide 2 references for verification covering the last 3 years of work
  • To meet our framework compliance requirements including DBS, and Occupational Health and Updated CV
  • Right to work within the UK – Documented proof will be required.
