We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Psychiatrist with expertise in adult psychiatry to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality mental health services in East Kilbride, Glasgow – the candidate will start immediately for an initial period of 2 months. As a psychiatrist, you will contribute to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adult patients, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments of adult patients.
  • Provide evidence-based treatment and interventions for a range of mental health disorders.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to deliver integrated care.
  • Participate in clinical reviews and case conferences to ensure the effectiveness of treatment plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health programs and initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree and completion of specialist training in psychiatry.
  • Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a license to practice.
  • Substantial experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist with a focus on adult psychiatry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement.
  • Eligibility for membership with relevant professional bodies.
