Are you an ENP (Emergency Nurse Practitioner) Nurse looking to pick up shifts around the Nottingham area? We have access to ad-hoc and block bookings at competitive hourly pay rates from £38.00- £55.40 per hour.

Roles of an ENP

ENPs assess, diagnose, treat and discharge patients, often in the ‘Minors’ area of the department. They work within guidelines agreed with the clinical lead of an emergency department. The role might involve:

  • Patient assessment, including pain assessment and management
  • Diagnosing problems such as sprains, strains, cuts and bites, giving medication (orally or via injection), and treating minor injuries including burns and wounds
  • Reading and assessing X-rays
  • Administering some medications, including antibiotics
  • Recording ECG examinations
  • Discharging patients when appropriate
ENP Role requirements
  • NMC registration
  • Recent 6 months experience in the last 12 months
  • Evidence of completion of v300 prescribing certificate
  • Full EPP clearance of immunisations
  • 2 clinical references to provide your ENP skills
