Are you an ENP (Emergency Nurse Practitioner) Nurse looking to pick up shifts around the Gloucestershire area? We have access to ad-hoc and block bookings at competitive hourly pay rates from £54 per hour. Roles of an ENP

  • ENPs assess, diagnose, treat and discharge patients, often in the ‘Minors’ area of the department.
  • They work within guidelines agreed with the clinical lead of an emergency department.
  • The role might involve:
  • Patient assessment, including pain assessment and management
  • Diagnosing problems such as sprains, strains, cuts and bites, giving medication (orally or via injection), and treating minor injuries including burns and wounds
  • Reading and assessing X-rays
  • Administering some medications, including antibiotics
  • Recording ECG examinations
  • Discharging patients when appropriate

ENP Role requirements

  • NMC registration
  • Recent 6 months experience in the last 12 months
  • Evidence of completion of v300 prescribing certificate
  • Full EPP clearance of immunisations
  • 2 clinical references to provide your ENP skills
