Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical assessments and diagnoses for children and adolescents with complex mental health issues.
- Lead and oversee the development of comprehensive treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
- Manage and support multidisciplinary teams, ensuring effective collaboration between psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and trainees, contributing to their professional development.
- Engage in regular MDT meetings to discuss patient progress, share insights, and adjust treatment strategies.
- Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance CAMHS service effectiveness and efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
- Full GMC licence to practice.
- Relevant previous experience in a similar position.
- Section 12/RC approval is essential.
- Approved clinician status desirable but not essential.
