Pulse have recently partnered with one of the UK’s specialist providers of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Cardiac Catheter Lab Physiologist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is a mobile position covering sites across the country.

About the role: As a mobile Cardiac Physiologist, you will support the Cardiac Interim Solutions service in the delivery of diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including diagnostic angiography, PCI including the use of interventional tools such as OCT, pressure wire, IVUS and Rotablation. You will be independent in simple and complex device implantation, box changes and follow-up, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure excellent high-quality patient care.

Your main responsibilities as a Cardiac Catheter Lab Physiologist:

  • Support the mobilisation team in preparing the relocatable and mobile units ready for delivery to sites.
  • Manage your own time and utilise the rota to travel to various locations across the UK.
  • Maintain clinical and physiologist specific skills through experience and courses, ensuring compliance in all areas of mandatory training.

What we are looking for in a Cardiac Catheter Lab Physiologist:

  • At least 3 years’ working independently in a cardiac catheter lab environment carrying out interventional cardiology procedures.
  • BSc in Clinical Physiology (or equivalent).
  • Pacing and Complex Device procedures (EP experience desirable but not essential).
  • Working within a team, having to operate on own initiative.
  • Member of an appropriate professional body (SCST) (AHCS, previously RCCP).
  • BHRS or IBHRE accreditation (desirable but not essential), or a willingness to obtain these qualifications.
  • Full UK Driving License.
