About the Role:
Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Dietitian to join our team on a full-time basis for a 3-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing dietetic clinics and urgent caseloads in mental health and learning disabilities, as well as providing acute dietetic care across Bronglais Hospital.

This position is available now and the pay rate for this role will be up to £34 per hour.

Main responsibilities of this Dietetics vacancy:

Mental Health / Learning Disabilities:

  • Manage dietetic clinics and urgent caseloads at PPH, WGH, and GGH (dependent on preference).
  • Provide specialized dietary assessments and interventions for patients with mental health and learning disabilities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Acute Dietitian:

  • Cover wards across Bronglais Hospital, focusing on high-risk and urgent acute patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on dietary management.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Participate in clinical audits and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
  • Essential requirements of this Dietetics vacancy:

  • Must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Proven experience in dietetics, particularly in mental health, learning disabilities, and acute care settings.
