About the role:

The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 7/8A Rheumatology Pharmacist to join our dynamic team in Cumberland. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment where you can make a significant impact on patient care. The position is for a duration of 3-6 months and includes covering wards and providing dispensary cover if needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert pharmaceutical care to rheumatology patients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Conduct medication reviews and provide clinical advice to healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in clinical audits and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines.
  • Educate and train healthcare staff on rheumatology medications and treatments.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Cover wards and provide dispensary cover as needed.
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential:
  • Up to date GPhC registration.
  • Experience in homecare or hospital pharmacy settings.
  • Master’s degree in pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in rheumatology or a related clinical area.
  • Desirable: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
