Position: Paediatric Audiologist

Banding: 6

Location: Meriden

Pay Rate: £25-28

Start Date: 5th of August for 4 weeks, excluding bank holiday 26th = 19 days

Hours: Full time

Duration: Ongoing

The Audiology team at Pulse are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Paediatric Audiologist in Meriden. The successful Audiologist will be working full-time hours across Monday to Friday. We are looking for an Audiologist to cover caseload. Previous experience of working in NHS is desirable for this role.

About the Role:

  • 10 days of under 4s
  • 9 days of 4-16’s
  • Mon-Fri, 8.30am-4.30 pm, 9 patients per day
  • Total = 171 patients
  • This clinic will be seeing Paediatric patients only

Essential skills:

  • HCPC registered
  • Experience of working with children
  • Relevant qualification in Physiotherapy
  • Under 4’s – this would include:
  • VRA’s – insert or freefield
  • Insert or freefield performance testing
  • Tympanometry
  • Distraction testing (but this is rarely used)
  • McCormick toy test or Manchester Picture test
  • 4-7’s
    • Headphone performance testing
    • Tympanometry
    • McCormick toy test or Manchester Picture test
  • 7-16
    • PTA (play or button)
    • Tympanometry
  • Database/system – Auditbase.
