The Biomedical Science team at Pulse are currently recruiting a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist in Immunology/Biochemistry to work in a busy NHS Hospital in Aylesbury. We are looking for a biomedical scientist who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory’s service.
Position: Biomedical Scientist
Banding: 6
Location: Aylesbury
Hours: Mon – Fri 08:00-16:30 or 09:00-17:30 or 11:30-20:00 (on both site as per weekly rota). Will be informed if weekend is needed due to an emergency.
Duration: 3 months
What will you be doing in this Biomedical Scientist role?
As a Biomedical Scientist in Biochemistry, you will be expected to be proficient in using analysers in Biochemistry automation. If you have additional experience in more manual or specialist techniques such as protein electrophoresis or HPLC that would be a plus. On a day to day basis you will be supporting the senior biomedical scientists in the delivery of the service and providing guidance to junior members of staff.

Essential Requirements for this Biomedical Scientist position:
- HCPC registered
- UK NHS or private sector Biochemistry laboratory experience
- Experience in Immunology and Biochemistry
- Automation experience with the Helena SAS-3 and Abbott Architect analyser
