Paediatric Accident & Emergency (A&E) nurse (Band 5)

Location: Sandwell and Birmingham NHS Hospitals

Employment: Full-term & Part Time, permanent – 37.5hrs + flexible working options!

Salary: Band 5: Β£28,407 – Β£34,581 per annum + benefits

Role overview:

As a Band 5 nurse within Paediatric A&E, you’ll play an integral role in in the emergency department. Providing high quality care and helping oversee the unit and provide clinic leadership and supervision.

  • You’ll evaluate, plan, and execute care programs – confidently
  • Provide leadership to your team, serving as a role model for other staff
  • Supervise students, junior nurses, and other team members
  • The Ideal Candidate:

  • RSCN/RN Child with current NMC registration
  • Minimum of 2 years post-registration experience in any paediatric acute setting – no prior experience in an emergency setting is needed
  • Mentorship course or equivalent – or willing to undertake within the first year
