Commercial IT Operations Specialist (VN3217) Wokingham, England Pulse, part of Acteon Group, is a market leader in subsea structural monitoring, providing highly sophisticated monitoring systems and services to both oil & gas and renewables clients worldwide since 1998. Due to our growth plans, we are looking to strengthen our team with new roles. We are hiring a Commercial Operations IT Specialist on a full-time, permanent basis. Based at our facility in Wokingham, the role involves working closely with the Commercial Operations IT Lead to support and develop Pulse’s commercial offerings. The position will eventually take ownership of certain IT system aspects, collaborating with internal staff across all locations and end customers. The role includes handling IT support escalations, infrastructure management, system monitoring, and supporting project deployments. Responsibilities include: Supporting Pulse field/offshore operations and data services remotely Assisting with IT system deployments related to Pulse’s commercial operations Monitoring, administering, and maintaining Pulse’s cloud services Working with the IT Lead to enhance cybersecurity in Pulse’s services Contributing to documentation for IT infrastructure (cloud and on-premises) Staying updated on IT innovations beneficial to Pulse Qualifications and Experience: At least 5 years in IT support roles or similar Experience at 3rd line support level or higher in helpdesk environments Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Problem-solving skills for complex technical solutions Knowledge of cybersecurity and the Purdue Model Experience with firewalls, TCP/IP, OSI networking model, Windows Server, HyperV Familiarity with Telegraf, InfluxDB, Grafana stack, remote system monitoring Experience with reverse proxy and WAF solutions Ability to create and maintain technical documentation Experience supporting cloud services and solutions Engineering background or experience in an engineering environment Experience with message bus solutions for microservices Familiarity with Agile/DevOps, GitHub, Azure DevOps Knowledge of SharePoint, IIS, Drupal, Acquia Understanding of open-source projects and development environments Experience running Dotnet/Go applications Additional advantageous skills: Understanding of TSN or EtherCAT Experience with Loki and/or Prometheus Knowledge of FreeBSD Application process: Please include your first and last name, email, phone number (with country code), and your CV/resume.
