Key Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership and psychiatric care for older adults in an inpatient setting. Act as anApproved Clinicianunder the Mental Health Act, including responsibilities for detention, treatment, and discharge planning. Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients with complex mental health conditions such as dementia, depression, and psychosis. Collaborate closely with the CMHT to ensure continuity of care and effective discharge planning. Supervise junior doctors and contribute to their training and development. Participate in clinical governance, service development, and quality improvement initiatives. Engage with families, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic, person-centred care.
