We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join a private laboratory in London. This is an excellent locum opportunity for a Histology Biomedical Scientist with strong routine histopathology skills, particularly microtomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine microtomy to a consistently high standard.
- Assist with embedding, staining and slide quality control as required.
- Work accurately while supporting laboratory turnaround times.
- Follow laboratory protocols and health and safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
- Previous experience working within Histology/Cellular Pathology.
- Strong practical experience in microtomy.
- Experience of routine histopathology techniques.
- Knowledge of special stains and IHC is desirable.
