I’m working with one of the UK’s biggest media and publishing businesses, which is building out a really exciting editorial development team focused on interactive digital content across major news and media brands, including within the insurance and financial publishing space.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a junior developer or someone early in their career who wants to build creative, high-impact products seen by millions of users. You’ll be working on things like:
- Interactive charts & data visualisations
- Maps and scrollytelling experiences
- Interactive games for major global events
- Rich editorial experiences inside articles
- Turning Figma designs into engaging digital products
They’re not expecting the finished article here. They’re looking for someone with curiosity, energy and genuine passion for building cool things.
Tech-wise, they’re especially interested in people with exposure to:
- React
- D3.js / Chart.js
- Front-end development fundamentals
- Personal projects or creative experimentation
The team want someone who can grow into the role, learn quickly and enjoy working in a fast-moving environment where projects can go live to huge audiences very quickly. No previous news or publishing experience needed.
If you’re a junior developer looking for a role where you can genuinely create interesting things rather than just building forms and buttons all day, drop me a message.
