Overview
Pulse On Recruitment is working with a respected criminal defence firm in West Yorkshire to recruit a Criminal Defence Solicitor. This role is open to:
- Newly qualified solicitors
- Solicitors slightly over-qualified
- Candidates from legal aid backgrounds
- Solicitors transitioning from civil or family law
Training and ongoing supervision will be provided where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Police station attendances
- Magistrates’ court advocacy
- Criminal case preparation and management
- Participation in police station rota (3 nights every 6 weeks – £100 per call-out)
- Client care and legal correspondence
Flexible Working
- Remote working available
- Occasional office attendance
- Full-time or part-time options considered
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified solicitor (NQ–2 PQE preferred, flexibility offered)
