Pulse are looking for registered and experienced Band 5 & 6 Registered Intensive Care Nurses in the London Borough of Harrow. PAYE £19.00 - £30.77

What you will be doing as a Registered Intensive Care Nurse (ITU):

  • Plan, implement and evaluate care
  • Assist patients with their activities of daily living
  • Regular assessment and monitoring of patient's vital signs
  • Perform different types of observations and use of different monitoring systems
  • Use and ensure working function of varied medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, feeding pumps, monitors
  • Administer medication via different routes
  • Care for patients receiving invasive and non-invasive ventilation
  • Recognize patient deterioration and timely escalation of care
  • Communicate effectively with members of the multidisciplinary team, patients, and relatives
  • Work as part of a team
  • Make appropriate referrals and prepare patients for discharge or transfer
  • Keep accurate and timely patient records and follow local policies and procedures

To be considered for this role you will need to have:

  • Valid NMC registration
  • At least 6 months recent UK NHS experience within the ITU Sector
  • Ability to provide a clinical reference as well as covering the last three years of employment
  • Able to provide an enhanced DBS or documents to apply for one
  • Right to work within the UK - proof will be required
