Midwife (Band 6) Location: Sandwell and Birmingham NHS Hospitals Employment: Full-term & Part time, permanent – 37.5hrs a week + flexible working options! Salary: £37,338 – £44,962 per annum Are you passionate about providing exceptional midwifery care? This is an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Midwife to join one of the UK’s largest NHS teaching trusts – Sandwell and Birmingham NHS Hospitals. Key Responsibilities: * You will help lead the care for low-risk women, promoting normal birthing processes, and work collaboratively with colleagues to support women with complex needs * Competently use medical devices, monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing, and uphold care standards in various settings * Promote parent education, make specialist referrals, provide health education, and collaborate with child protection teams * Participation in case conferences, diagnosing and monitoring labour, managing high-risk labours, and handling emergencies are also key responsibilities * Postnatal care, pain management, performing procedures, and supporting breastfeeding are essential, along with providing bereavement care and managing care transfers Benefits: * Fantastic benefits package, with all the perks working in the NHS and some new additions * Comprehensive Health and Wellbeing package * Commitment to continuous learning and development – with plenty of opportunities to support this The Ideal Candidate: * Registered midwife on part 2 of the NMC professional register qualified * Evidence of working in all areas of midwifery * Degree/diploma relevant to Midwifery – examination of the newborn course is desirable * Mentor/assessor training experience or any proven experience A fantastic opportunity for experienced midwifes, where you can continue to grow and develop your skills, in a truly rewarding role – this is not to be missed out on
