The Role
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting with their daily activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life. You will work closely with our client, their families, and other professionals to deliver person‑centred care and support.
In this role, you will be supporting our 5‑year‑old male client who is living with several complex care needs including spina bifida. On shift, you will be providing personal care, administering medications and working with clinical interventions (all training will be provided). Alongside, you will be enhancing our client’s quality of life through play and social interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical and emotional support to service users.
- Administer medications, and complete manual handling.
- Working with clinical interventions
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care where required.
- Promote independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion.
- Build positive and professional relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
What We're Looking For
- Caring, empathetic, and patient nature.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
- Right to work in the UK.
- 6 months care experience within the last 2 years (UK based experience)
- Experience supporting individuals with complex care needs including brain injuries, spinal injuries, physical disabilities, genetic and neurological conditions.
- Driver is required due to location of client
