This Trust is seeking a dynamic and committed Consultant Cardiologist to join our expanding team of six cardiologists. This new post supports the development of stateâofâtheâart services, with future plans for a CMR service. The role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of cardiology services in a supportive and forwardâthinking environment.
Requirements
- Full registration and licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Cardiology (or within 6 months of interview)
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications and Fellowship of a Royal College (e.g., FRCP)
Typical Job Plan
- 1 day/week dedicated to the new diagnostic centre
- 1 day/week for subâspecialty activity (e.g., stress echo, myoview, or other interests)
- 1 in 7 weeks as 'Cardiologist of the Week' â focused on inpatient care, ED support, and weekend ward rounds (Saturday and Sunday mornings)
- Outpatient clinics: Typically 11 followâups (telephone) or 3 new + 6 followâups (faceâtoâface)
- Onâcall rota: 1 in 7 weekends (FridayâSunday) and fixed weekday onâcall (not prospectively covered)
