Key Responsibilities:
- Providing compassionate patient care.
- Preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals.
- Performing and monitoring imaging procedures.
- Adhering to strict radiation safety protocols.
- Supervising other technologists and support staff.
- Conducting quality control on equipment and radiopharmaceuticals.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Participating in continuing education to stay updated with advancements in the field.
- Responding to emergencies and providing lifesaving first aid when necessary.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree in Nuclear Medicine or Radiography.
- HCPC registration as a Radiographer or Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Minimum 1-2 years post-qualification in Nuclear Medicine (NHS or private setting).
- Proficient with gamma cameras, PET-CT scanners, and radiopharmaceuticals.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and quality assurance.
- Ability to administer radiopharmaceuticals and conduct diagnostic procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with patients and healthcare teams.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and supervise junior staff when required.
