Pulse’s AHP Team is recruiting experienced Nursing Service Delivery Leads to support an established Phlebotomy & Healthcare Research Programme as it enters its next phase. This is a flexible, shift-based role (similar to bank work), ideal for senior nurses seeking part-time leadership responsibility alongside other commitments. Candidates should be available 2–3 days per week within a 7-day service.
The Role
Working across mobile research units in the South Wales area (locations rotate every 5–6 weeks), you will provide clinical and operational leadership to Healthcare Support Workers and phlebotomy teams, ensuring safe, high-quality service delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Clinical leadership and supervision of HSWs
- Oversight of phlebotomy services and standards
- Ensuring governance, compliance, and quality targets are met
- Acting as first point of escalation for operational issues
- Supporting staff breaks in a supernumerary capacity
- Managing staff attendance and shift scheduling
- Reporting directly to the Lead Nurse
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse with experience in a lead or supervisory role
- Proven phlebotomy experience (hands-on competence required)
- Ability to work 2–3 days per week
- Willingness to fully register with Pulse
- Driving licence highly beneficial due to mobile sites
