Band 6 Therapeutic Radiographer – Treatment (Yorkshire)

Overview:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 Therapeutic Radiographer to join a leading Radiotherapy Department in Yorkshire. This is an agency position ideal for a motivated and adaptable professional confident in delivering high-quality treatment using advanced radiotherapy technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, accurate, and patient-centred radiotherapy treatment in accordance with departmental and national standards.
  • Operate Varian linear accelerators and utilise the ARIA oncology information system.
  • Collaborate effectively with oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists, and fellow radiographers to ensure precise treatment delivery.
  • Participate in daily quality assurance, imaging verification, and workflow optimisation.
  • Provide compassionate care and clear communication throughout each patient’s treatment journey.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Therapeutic Radiographer.
  • Previous UK radiotherapy treatment experience at Band 6 level (minimum 12 months preferred).
  • Proficient in ARIA (Varian) record-and-verify systems and comfortable working with modern treatment platforms such as TrueBeam, Halcyon, or Clinac.
  • Familiarity with Eclipse treatment-planning systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and adaptability within a multidisciplinary setting.
