Location: Wexham Park Hospital

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 3 months with option to extend

Hourly Rate: £25-28 per hour

Working Hours: 2 days per week (must include Thursday)

Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Diabetes Specialist Podiatrist to join the team in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled podiatrist with specialist diabetes experience to support the delivery of high-quality foot care services for patients with diabetes and complex lower limb conditions. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist assessment, treatment, and ongoing management for patients at risk of diabetic foot complications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialist podiatry services for patients with diabetes and high-risk foot conditions
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage complex diabetic foot problems
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to improve patient outcomes
  • Provide preventative care, patient education, and self-management advice
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to local and national clinical guidelines
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities

Qualifications and Experience

  • HCPC registered Podiatrist
  • Experience working with patients with diabetes and high-risk foot conditions
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills within diabetic foot care
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a specialist caseload
  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamworking skills
  • Previous NHS experience within a podiatry service is desirable
