We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Microbiology to join our clients team in Wexham Park Hospital. This is a full-time ongoing position working core hours only offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.
Key Responsibilities
- You will perform culture identification and sensitivity testing of clinical specimens.
- You will detect bacterial infections using manual and automated techniques.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 3 years experience in a Microbiology lab.
- Microbiology lab automation experience on instruments (Kiestra Urimast Maldi Iris Bactec Entericbio).
- Able to analyse results and to report them.
- Specialist portfolio or experience Band 6.
