Occupational Therapist – Band 6 (Locum)

Location: Mental Health Services

Contract: Locum – 3 days per week, 7.5 hours per day

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: Ongoing

Our client is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a high‐support inpatient rehabilitation service for adult males. The service provides multi‐disciplinary care to support individuals returning to independent living. The OT will work across two wards, delivering assessments, interventions, and supporting care planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialist OT interventions in mental health rehabilitation
  • Supervise junior staff including Band 5 OTs and OTAs
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to care planning

Requirements:

  • HCPC‐registered Occupational Therapist
  • Experience in mental health rehabilitation
  • Experience supervising staff
  • Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and teamwork skills
  • Availability to work locum shifts via PAYE or approved umbrella company
  • Flexible locum hours
  • Opportunity to gain experience in a supportive, high‐dependency mental health setting
