Our client is seeking a highly experienced Band 7 Vascular Scientist to join our esteemed client’s team in Sheffield. This is a flexible locum opportunity ideal for a professional looking to contribute to a high-performing vascular service on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality vascular ultrasound assessments, supporting accurate diagnosis and effective patient management.
Responsibilities
- The role involves performing a wide range of non-invasive vascular ultrasound investigations, including carotid, venous, and arterial studies.
- The Vascular Scientist will be responsible for producing detailed diagnostic reports, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring all procedures are carried out in line with clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Collaboration with consultants and other healthcare professionals is essential to ensure timely and effective patient care.
- The ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload is key.
Qualifications and Experience
- BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification in Vascular Ultrasound
- HCPC registration
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a vascular ultrasound role
- Proficient in performing and interpreting a wide range of vascular studies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Recent NHS experience preferred
