Pulse is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Band 5 Dispensary Pharmacy Technician to join a busy NHS hospital pharmacy service in South Yorkshire. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of safe, efficient, and high‐quality dispensary services within a well‐established hospital environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate supply of medicines, supporting clinical teams, and maintaining high standards of patient‐centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, accurate, and efficient dispensary services.
- Support clinical screening and accuracy checking processes where required.
- Deliver high‐quality medicines information and support to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians, and wider MDT colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with legal, professional, and organisational standards.
- Contribute to audits, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold robust governance practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Previous NHS hospital experience (essential).
- Strong understanding of dispensary processes and medicines legislation.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‐paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- A proactive, patient‐focused, and professional approach.
