The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 8a Pharmacist to join our team on a holiday cover basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to our elective surgical ward and offering screening and checking cover for our dispensary.
Key Responsibilities- You will provide ward-based pharmaceutical care to patients in the elective surgical ward.
- You will screen and check prescriptions in the dispensary.
- You will ensure the safe and effective use of medications.
- You will collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
Education and Qualifications:
- Relevant Pharmacy qualification.
- Registered as a practicing pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a surgical ward.
- Proficiency in using Trak Care is desirable. If not, an additional training day on the 16th will be provided to shadow our clinical pharmacist and learn the system.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
