This Trust is seeking a passionate and forward‑thinking Consultant in Respiratory Medicine to join our expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing department with access to advanced respiratory diagnostics and procedures, including EBUS, thoracoscopy, and strong support for ILD, pleural, and sleep/ventilation services. We are expanding and welcome applicants with subspecialty interests in sleep medicine, ventilation, lung cancer, or other areas. Flexible contracts and additional PAs are available to support work‑life balance and professional development.
Requirements
- Full registration and licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Respiratory and General Internal Medicine (or within 6 months of interview)
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications and Fellowship of a Royal College (e.g., FRCP)
- Subspecialty interest in sleep/ventilation, lung cancer, or interventional respiratory medicine is desirable
Typical Job Plan and Duties
- Providing high‑quality care in respiratory medicine and general internal medicine
- Participating in outpatient clinics, inpatient care, and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Engaging in medical teaching, training, and appraisal of junior staff
- Contributing to clinical governance, audit, and service development
- Participating in annual appraisal, job planning, and revalidation
- Supporting the development of respiratory services across the Trust
