We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to join our client based in Prescot. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients with dysphagia and communication disorders. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering specialist speech and language therapy services within the community, requiring the use of a car for visits.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with a range of speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Working closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatments as necessary.
- Providing education and support to patients and their families.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience in managing dysphagia and communication disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Valid driver's license and access to a car for community visits.
