We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Band 8a Pharmacist specialising in Chemotherapy and Oncology to join our client's team in Oxford. This role involves providing expert pharmaceutical care to oncology patients, ensuring the safe and effective use of chemotherapy treatments. The successful candidate will work closely with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes and contribute to the overall efficiency of our oncology pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and dispensing chemotherapy medications
  • Conducting medication reviews
  • Providing expert advice on oncology pharmaceuticals
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans
  • Monitoring patient progress
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Collaborating with the oncology care team to deliver comprehensive care and support to patients undergoing chemotherapy

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in oncology pharmacy
  • Strong knowledge of chemotherapy protocols and oncology pharmaceuticals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and electronic health records
