Our client is an NHS Foundation Trust seeking a dedicated and experienced Nuclear Medicine Consultant Radiologist to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility, providing high-quality care to our diverse patient population.
Salary: £105,504 - £139,882 per annum
Typical Job Plan and Duties
- Consult with patients to explain the processes, risks, and benefits of nuclear medicine procedures.
- Administer radioactive substances to patients to generate images of the body and diagnose diseases.
- Interpret diagnostic tests and procedures, including PET/CT and SPECT/CT scans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and deliver patient care.
- Conduct research to develop new methods of using radioactive substances in diagnosing and treating diseases.
- Participate in teaching and training junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications and Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent.
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists or equivalent.
- Full registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) within 6 months of interview.
