Our client is seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their mental health services on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in mental health, with forensic mental health experience being highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions using both standardised and non-standardised approaches
- Support patients to improve functional skills and promote independence
- Supervise and support junior staff within the team
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, person-centred care
Requirements:
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working within mental health services (forensic mental health experience desirable)
- Experience using standardised and non-standardised OT assessments and interventions
- Experience supervising staff
- Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
