We’re looking for Theatres Scrub Nurses or Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs) to join our dedicated team, with a focus on ophthalmic procedures. Ophthalmic experience is preferred but full training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Deliver pre- and post-operative patient care, including diagnostics.
- Administer medications according to NMC standards.
- Record keeping in line with NMC guidelines.
- Provide scrub assistance for clinical procedures.
- Support consultants in delivering ophthalmic care.
- Participate in weekend/on-call rotas.
- Ensure patient confidentiality (Data Protection Act).
- Undertake ALS training and cover nearby clinics when required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with private healthcare systems.
- Theatre scrub experience essential.
- Team player, committed to delivering excellent patient care.
- Flexible to meet service needs.
- Minimum 1 year’s post-registration experience in a clinical/hospital setting.
- Current NMC registration.
