We are seeking a skilled and motivated Band 6 Biomedical Scientist to join our team at Barts NHS Trust in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to our hematology and blood transfusion services. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of diagnostic tests and analyses, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and patient care. Responsibilities:

  • Conducting a variety of hematology and blood transfusion tests using CN, XN, and IH500 analysers.

  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of laboratory services.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hematology and blood transfusion.
  • Proficiency with CN, XN, and IH500 analysers.
  • Strong skills in blood film morphology.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
