APT / Mortuary Technician Locum
Pulse is currently recruiting for an experienced APT (Anatomical Pathology Technician) / Mortuary Technician to join a well-established pathology service in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mortuary professional seeking a flexible locum assignment with the potential to develop into a long-term placement.
The Role
The successful candidate will support the mortuary and post-mortem service, working alongside a dedicated pathology team to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day mortuary operations.
Key Details
- Target start date: Mid-November
- Initial requirement: Approximately 2 months
- Strong likelihood of extension into a long-term position following a planned retirement
- 20-30 hours per week
- Primarily Monday to Friday, although Monday to Thursday may be considered
- 8:00am start time acceptable
- Band 5-6 rates available
- Flexible part-time working pattern
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working as an APT, Mortuary Technician or within a post-mortem service
- Practical experience supporting autopsies and mortuary procedures
- Understanding of mortuary health and safety procedures
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Right to work in the UK
