We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Paediatric Neonates Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist healthcare setting in London. This locum opportunity is ideal for an experienced therapist with a strong background in paediatrics and neonatal care, particularly in the assessment and management of feeding and swallowing difficulties. In this role, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support infants and young children with complex communication and dysphagia needs. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and supporting positive clinical outcomes for children and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing difficulties within paediatric and neonatal caseloads.
  • Provide specialist dysphagia assessment and intervention for infants and children.
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, consultants, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards.
  • Support families and carers through education, advice, and therapeutic guidance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
  • HCPC registration and membership (or eligibility) with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
  • Previous experience working within paediatric and/or neonatal settings.
  • Dysphagia competencies and experience managing feeding/swallowing disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
