We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Paediatric ADOS Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist children’s service based at the Phoenix Centre in Bromley, Kent. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled clinician with experience in Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) assessments to support children undergoing autism assessments across a range of ages and developmental levels. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering high-quality diagnostic assessments for children and young people. This role is suitable for clinicians with a background in Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Nursing who hold recognised ADOS training and are passionate about supporting children and families through the diagnostic pathway.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct ADOS assessments for children across Modules 1–4, depending on age and communication ability.
  • Support the assessment and diagnostic process for children with suspected Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive clinical recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with professional standards.
  • Utilise EMIS systems where appropriate (training can be provided).
  • Communicate effectively with children, families, carers, and professionals throughout the assessment process.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A recognised professional qualification as a Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, or Nurse.
  • Relevant professional registration (HCPC or NMC where applicable).
  • Completed ADOS assessment training with proof provided within your CV/application.
  • Experience completing ADOS assessments in paediatric settings.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills.
  • Previous EMIS experience is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.
