The Clinical Physiology team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and experienced Paediatric Sleep Physiologist to join our team in Central London. This role offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time positions available. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to paediatric patients with sleep disorders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • You will conduct and interpret sleep studies for paediatric patients, including those dependent on oxygen, non‐invasive ventilation, or invasive (tracheostomy) ventilation.
  • You will oversee the setup and monitoring of sleep studies, ensuring accurate data collection and patient comfort.
  • You will provide pre‐admission telephone consultations, meet and greet patients and their families, and explain procedures.
  • You will collaborate with medical, scientific, and nursing staff to deliver a comprehensive paediatric sleep service.
  • You will report and communicate findings to the referring paediatric respiratory consultant in a timely manner.
  • You will participate in the home sleep service during office hours and work occasional night shifts to optimise inpatient ventilator support.
  • You will maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Qualifications and Experience

  • BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent.
  • Accredited by the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) or equivalent accreditation (EACVI/ARDMS).
  • Experience in paediatric sleep studies and respiratory physiology.
  • Strong understanding of sleep disorders and their management in children.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
