Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking a highly skilled and proactive Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team at West Middlesex Hospital in Isleworth. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with recent hospital experience in medicine and surgery wards, looking to contribute to safe and effective patient care in a fast-paced NHS environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Screening and checking prescriptions for accuracy and safety.
- Delivering ward-based clinical pharmacy services across medicine and surgery.
- Using EPMA systems (Cerner and Wellsky) to support prescribing and administration.
- Providing expert advice on medicines use and optimisation.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
- Ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Recent experience as a ward pharmacist in a hospital setting.
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of medicines management.
- Competent in using Cerner and Wellsky EPMA systems.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
