A specialist healthcare service is seeking to recruit a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the team within an Eating Disorder inpatient unit. This is a part‑time on-site position (30 hours across three days per week) with a salary of £170,000–£180,000 per year (£136,000–£144,000 pro rata).

You will be supported by a dedicated multidisciplinary team, including specialist nurses, psychologists, dietitians, occupational therapists, and other professionals experienced in eating disorder care. The team works collaboratively to provide personalised, evidence‑based treatment within a well‑established and supportive environment.

The hospital is a leading independent facility, rated ‘Good’ by regulators, and offers expert care for general psychiatric conditions, addictions, and an accredited eating disorder service. What you’ll be doing

You will join a compassionate team dedicated to patient wellbeing, using a personalised and evidence-based approach to help individuals move toward a healthier and more fulfilling future.

  • Acting as Consultant and Responsible Clinician, leading patient care planning and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Assessing and managing complex cases, chairing MDT and CPA meetings, and liaising closely with patients, families, and external stakeholders.
  • Providing clinical leadership alongside the Ward Manager and ensuring compliance with organisational and regulatory standards.
  • Contributing to governance, quality improvement, and service development initiatives.
  • Participating in academic and professional development activities, including teaching, case discussions, audit, and research.
