Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology to join our dynamic team at Aintree University Hospital. This role is central to our strategic aim of expanding consultant and multidisciplinary capacity across diabetes and endocrinology services. You will be part of a leading acute teaching hospital, contributing to both inpatient and outpatient care. The post offers opportunities to develop specialist services in areas such as diabetic foot care, antenatal diabetes, insulin pump therapy, and transition care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality inpatient and outpatient care for patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders.
  • Lead ward rounds, manage emergencies, and participate in the on-call rota.
  • Run specialist clinics tailored to your interests and service needs.
  • Collaborate with primary care, community teams, and academic partners.
  • Contribute to teaching, training, clinical governance, and service development initiatives.

  • Full GMC registration
  • MRCP (UK) or equivalent
