We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Haematology to join our client's team in West Yorkshire. This is a full‐time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well‐established laboratory service.

Key Responsibilities

  • In Haematology, proficient in blood film morphology, with the flexibility to rotate into Full Blood Count (FBC) and Coagulation as needed.
  • In Blood Transfusion, familiarity with the Grifols Erytra platform is essential.
  • Experience with WinPath is required across both departments.
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate analysis, maintaining rigorous quality control standards, and collaborating effectively with clinical teams to support patient care.

Qualifications and Experience

  • HCPC registration
  • Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
  • Experience in Haematology or Transfusion within a clinical laboratory
  • Experience in Morphology in Haematology or strong experience in Blood Transfusion
  • Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • NHS experience (preferred)
